To those claiming a refusal to vote for Trump or for Hillary gives the election to the other.

Stop. Just stop.

A false dichotomy remains a false dichotomy no matter how many times you say it. It remains a false dichotomy no matter how many temper tantrums you throw.

I have held my nose and voted for some real stinkers on the premise that the alternative was even worse. But you know something? I do not see any functional difference between Trump and Hillary. It's a question of prostate cancer versus rectal cancer. I choose neither. Nor are those who choose otherwise responsible for the election of Hillary (or of Trump) for that matter. That's precisely the point. So far, and no further will I bend. If you're looking for someone responsible for your candidate losing, look to your candidate for not being a better candidate. Look to yourselves for not supporting a candidate who possible allies might support - It's not like we didn't signal loud and clear that we wouldn't eat your shit sandwich no matter how hard you tried to shove it down our throats.

When offered the choice "Which of two cancers would you rather die of?", the rational choice is not to rail about how not choosing one means you die of the other. The rational choice is to find the prospective cure for both cancers that represents your best chance of living and recovering, and do what it takes for that cure to work. No matter how much of a longshot it may be.

I see enough dissatisfaction with both 'major party candidates' that it's not as much of a longshot as the pimps in both of those 'major parties' would have us believe.

I'm voting Libertarian this cycle. It's the rational, smart thing to do.
